Master Bowl Turning at the Woodturning School with instructor Dave Lancaster
The emphasis in this class will be on improving turning techniques and appreciation of form, with instruction on quick and elegant embellishment skills. Work will be done with green and dry hardwood and will include both “twice turned” and “once turned” bowls. Green bowls will be in the 12” – 14” size range: dry bowls in the 8 – 12” range. With a little luck you could emerge with 3 green bowls and 1 dry bowl. Old fashioned milk paint finishing, coring and vacuum chuck usage will be demonstrated. Skill level: intermediate or advanced.
No beginners please.
